I baked a yellow pound cake in a 10" bundt pan then cut it into quarters. I alternated the pieces to create the snake shape. I carved the first piece to resemble a head and used the extra pieces left after leveling the cake to create the coiled tail at the end. I iced the cake with buttercream then used a textured paper towel to create the scales. I airbrushed the cake with brown first then overlayed with green. I airbrushed the green diamond pattern along his sides and used a peice of gumpaste for the tongue.
I love life! I am a wife and mother blessed with the virtue of patience. I treat every day as another opportunity to learn and grow both spiritually and mentally. I began decorating cakes as a hobby in 1996 for friends and family but word of mouth is the best advertisment because it didn't take long before I started receiving calls from friends of friends who wanted me to do a cake for their next event! I am having so much fun and I am really looking forward to taking this hobby to the professional level!
