The first day of the rest of my life!

Today was my last official day as an electrical engineer and my first day as a cake designer! Last night, I baked a tres leches cake with stawberry filling and a butter pound cake. I delivered the butter pound cake to a customer on my way to work this morning and the other customer picked up the the tres leches cake when I got home. NO MORE JUGGLING ACT! Just about every weekend last year was crazy...trying to balance working, baking, decorating, delivering, sleeping!

Tonight, I have to bake a full sheet cake shaped like a ladybug to deliver at 11am tomorrow morning. I plan to wake up at 7am to have it completed by 9am.
